The Aelium WiFi Access Point creates a reliable and strong WiFi network.
The WITS™ Torque Sub System must be used with an Aelium WiFi Network for optimum performance and reliability. The WITS™ Torque Sub, Access Point (AP), and WITS™ UI software are designed, configured and tested to optimize communications integrity, reliability and battery life.
The system can be supplied with different access points and tablets depending on the customer’s preferences and needs for hazardous location ratings.
The Aelium WiFi Network is easily expandable for future Aelium products and data solutions.
Safe Area Access Point (AP):
Reliability, portability, safe and easy installation are the key benefits of the Aelium Safe Area Access Point (AP). The AP is designed to be installed within a few minutes in a safe area. It is equipped with magnet mounts on the back of the AP enclosure to assist in the installation (one person operation).
The Aelium Safe Area AP features one high-gain, non-intrinsically safe antenna for use in a safe area and one intrinsically safe external antenna with a 25 foot, ultra-low loss RF cable extension. The external antenna's mounting bracket is equipped with a strong magnet to assist the installation (one person operation). The AP can easily be installed and operational within a few minutes.

Hazardous Area Access Point (AP):
Reliability and safety in a hazardous location, and/or long-term or permanent installation are the key benefits of the Aelium Hazardous Area Access Point (AP). This AP is designed to be installed in a hazardous area when a safe area location for AP installation (i.e. driller's cabin) is not an option.
The Aelium Hazardous Area AP features a commercial grade access point with a high-gain radio/antenna package designed and certified for hazardous locations (Class 1, Zone 1 & Division 1 and ATEX & IECEx Zone 1).
